Kapilarra project
Collaborative project, co-financed by the New-Aquitaine Region
Objective: develop the application of satellite and aeronautical technologies for the railway sector, in particular by defining a technological architecture allowing navigation/management of land traffic on a dedicated site.
Partners: THALES, GEOSAT and TOPOS (involvement of FDC, GUIDE, CETI, INTIC)
Results: After the success of a fully simulated experiment in alaboratory, based on a replay of measurements recorded on a railway line, the Kapilarra project passed a new stage in November 2017.
The project has successfully tested the use of satellite technology to measure the speed and real-time location of a moving train. Conducted in real-life conditions on a suburban rail network, the demonstration is believed to be the first of its kind in the world.

Collaborative project, co-financed by the European Commission
Objective: SCOOP is a pilot deployment project of cooperative intelligent transport systems, i.e. based on the exchange of information between connected vehicles and between the vehicle and the road. The vehicles are equipped with sensors that detect events (slippery road, knocks, sudden braking …) and on-board units that transmit information to vehicles upstream (V2V) as well as to the manager (V2I) via roadside units. The manager can also transmit information (building sites, etc.) to the on-board units in the vehicles (I2V).
One of the objectives of SCOOP is to improve road safety, but also the safety of operating agents who work on the roads.

Project partners

Collaborative project, co-financed by the European Commission
Objective: Development of a traffic application to adapt driving depending on the infrastructures and the different road events that might occur, deployed and functional on Bordeaux urban area.
The C-The Difference pilot project was developed on the basis of a shared vision, then developed and adopted by a consortium of partners representing supply and demand. For the last 10 years, these partners have been involved in the arrival of C-ITS (Cooperative-Intelligent Transport Systems) into the market through intensive efforts and long-term investments for the development and deployment of C-ITS services.

Live Tracking
Collaborative project, co-financed by the New-Aquitaine Region
Objective: to design, test and implement a global system of tracking and real time control of various means of transport (car/boat/motorcycle/bike), thanks to the latest geolocation and telecommunication technologies.
Results: a complete 3D Live Tracking system for high-performance drones capable of positioning accuracy of +/- 10cm on all three axes, with a latency of a few milliseconds between a servo control and the actual repositioning of the drone, and a latency of less than 500ms between the generation of the location information and its display in the 3D map.

Objective: Deployment of European satellite system, Galileo, in the area of ITS
Partners: Aerospace Valley coordinated with a great deal of participation by Topos, technical resources from Guide, Telespazio, Capital High Tech, Thalès Alenia Space.
Results: Dissemination actions and concrete applications in the mobility sector. At the ITS World Congress held in Melbourne in October 2016, a Galileo Village booth was present with the on-site participation of the TOPOS team and M3SYSTEMES. On this occasion, demos were also planned and set up.

Collaborative project, co-financed by the New-Aquitaine Region
Objective: to better understand the impact that a GPS jammer can have on equipment installed on board ships, barges or port infrastructures.
Partners: driven by Topos and relying on the skills of 4 of these members, namely Aguila Technologies, Bordeaux Port Authority, Maxsea and Thalès Avionics.

CO-GISTICS is the first European project fully dedicated to the deployment of cooperative intelligent transport systems (C-ITS) focused on logistics. CO-GISTICS services are deployed in 7 European logistics hubs; Arad (Romania), Bordeaux (France), Bilbao (Spain), Frankfurt (Germany), Thessaloniki (Greece), Trieste (Italy) and Vigo (Spain). CO-GISTICS’ partners worked together for three years on the installation and running of cooperative services on at least 315 vehicles (trucks and vans).
After having developed the reference architecture in each pilot site, the project is now in its implementation phase and will start the baseline measurement as the first part of the assessment process. An early version of the business model already exists and will be finalised toward the end of the project.
